About attacking the ISI…

…The Taliban might have done themselves a great disservice.

After all, al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia attacked Saudi Mabahith in 2002 and 2003, which prompted a large, brutal crackdown by the Saudi authorities.  The end result?  Al-Qaeda in the Kingdom has been taken apart – the last real plot was a failed attack on an oil plant in 2006.

Also, Lahore is relatively far away from the NW Frontier (see map below) it shows that the Taliban is trying to send a message that nowhere in Pakistan is safe.  But how will the ISI, arguably the most functional organization in Pakistan, react?  Will it turn on the Taliban…now?
